Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Key West

Checking in was easy, I did feel a bit rushed as I had wanted to make some adjustments, I was able to, but I had to almost talk over the front desk staff. The rooms were clean, but a tad small. Bathrooms were clean as well, but they were very very small. Beds were cozy. The rooms are great for spending minimal time in while you adventure. The hotel offers a shuttle to downtown as well as a pick up, we didn’t use this option but the shuttles looked clean comfy and big, breakfast was great, it is set up outside by the pool. They had a bar near the pool as well. Drinks were a bit pricey but yummy. But the food at the bar is not good, especially for the price, it seems like it’s microwaveable food. We had ordered French fry’s chicken tenders and nachos, over $60 for chewy chicken tenders, the fries were okay, and nachos that were a pile of chips with melted cheese on top. If you’re hungry I would recommend DoorDash. I do want to give a shout out to Shelly, I believe is her name if I remember correctly. So friendly and really made my day just chatting with her.

We only spent 1 night and barely spent time in the room. Rooms were ok. Matress was a little too firm for our taste. All rooms have exterior doors. It just had a motel feel. Front desk attendants were great. LOVED the shuttle service. For the price, location, and shuttle service, we were satisfied.

Our stay at this property was good. The pool was nice, free breakfast was fully featured, and the room was a decent size and clean. The pricing was also in line with not being close to the historic area of Key West, but is still conveniently located with a short drive to the historic area and near amenities like grocery stores. The service provided was good too. With that being said, this is not the normal Marriott experience and a dated property. Some updates like comfy beds were made in the rooms already. When we left, they were in the process of renovating the rooms a few at a time. The renovations didn't disturb us at all, though it would have been nice to stay in an updated room already. Given that the pricing is substantially cheaper than in the historic area, I'd recommend staying here if you're budget conscience and need a clean, family friendly place to stay. But know that it will not match what you expect from most Marriott hotels unless the renovations are complete. In terms of accessibility, they had a pool lift chair. We weren't able to use it because the battery was not charged when we tried to use it. So would recommend reaching out ahead of time so they can get it charged up. Our room was wheelchair accessible with an elevator on the property to get us up and it worked fine with an accessible shower and easy to roll up to the sink. The bed was still normal hotel height and not lowered so that was inconvenient but workable for us.

This was a great spot for a 2-night stay in Key West. Beds were comfy and it was quiet (we were here in October - their slow season). We enjoyed the pool and the pool side bar. We used the shuttle a couple times which was very convenient. We had access to chairs at Smathers Beach with the resort fee. The breakfast was a good, easy meal before starting the day.

Enjoyed one night at this location. Rooms were big enough for us, however the place seemed a little outdated for the price we paid in comparison to another we stayed at with an ocean view. That is okay because rooms sell out very quickly and a stay on a Friday would typically be higher. Nice pool and bar area. Many blessings for 2026.

This place is a great value. Clean and friendly staff. The shuttle is a game changer. You don’t have to stay downtown but you can go anytime you want to. This is the keys. Built in the 60-70’s. These buildings are old. The place is very clean with a great pool. Even has roosters to wake you up in the morning!

Off the strip, but had everything you need for a "home base" in Key West. Daily hourly shuttle available to run you to and from Duvall Street area, very handy. Walking distance from retail area for anything you need. Nice pool area, private, nice bar on site. Has an extensive continental breakfast every morning from 7am to 10am. Priced well for a home base type location. On site rental of bikes, scooters, golf carts to get around with.

If you're looking for a quieter place with fewer families and children, stay here rather than the Hilton and Blue Flamingo next door. Those two places are more expensive, slammed with families and jammed with people in the outdoor areas, including the pool. From Fairfield, you can walk over to the Hilton and Blue Flamingo, and check them out. The Fairfield pool and grounds are lovely, but the rooms, although clean, are a bit shabby and have plumbing issues, but it didn't make our stay unbearable. The pool bar sometimes opens late and closes early, which can be a disappointment. The breakfast bar is decent, but you have to go elsewhere for lunch or dinner. Hilton and Blue Flamingo have that for you to try. The location is not within a comfortable walking distance of anything, but a short drive leads you to almost anything you need. There is a shuttle to Old Town every hour you can sign up for, but book it first thing in the morning, because it fills up fast, amd they won't let you book it the night before, which is a shame. We tried at 9am to book the shuttle for 12pm, and it was already full. They don't seem to have an overflow shuttle available. The shuttle runs back every hour on the half hour, but it's first come first served which can lead to conflict in the evenings. The shuttle is included in the $24.95 per day Destination activities fees. Be aware, they do not make it clear that you have to pay the fee even if you don't want the benefits. We thought the shuttle was free until we checked out and saw our bill. Overall, we are pleased and would stay here again, although I believe we would rather experience a stay in the Old Town.
